Check with seller Lecturer in Logistics Technology, Supply Chain Management Faculty
- Location: Dong Nai City, vietnam
Job Overview
We are seeking an operations-focused and technically savvy Lecturer in Logistics Technology to join our faculty. As supply chains move from manual processes to AI-driven, automated ecosystems, our department is leading the effort to train professionals who can manage this transition. Your role is to bridge the gap between logistics theory and the cutting-edge technology that powers global trade, preparing students to manage digital, efficient, and resilient supply chains.
Job Responsibilities
Instructional Delivery: Lead courses in Logistics Systems, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Warehouse Automation, Transportation Technology, Inventory Optimization, and the integration of IoT and Blockchain in Logistics.
Curriculum Innovation: Develop a curriculum that integrates emerging tech, including Autonomous Vehicles/Drones in delivery, AI for demand forecasting, and Cloud-based SCM platforms.
Applied Simulation Labs: Manage hands-on workshops using industry-standard tools and simulations, such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and SCM simulation software.
Research & Scholarship: Engage in research on supply chain resilience, the "Green Logistics" movement, digital logistics transformation, or the optimization of last-mile delivery systems.
Industry & Career Mentorship: Connect students with logistics firms, tech providers, and 3PL (third-party logistics) companies. Facilitate industry projects that challenge students to solve real-world efficiency bottlenecks.
Capstone Oversight: Guide capstone projects that require students to build a comprehensive, tech-enabled logistics solution—such as optimizing a delivery network or implementing a real-time tracking architecture for a medium-sized enterprise.
Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with faculty in engineering and business departments to provide an interdisciplinary perspective on the future of global logistics.
Job Requirements
Education: Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related field (a PhD is strongly preferred).
Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in logistics, supply chain management, warehousing, or operations technology, combined with prior teaching experience.
Technical Skills:
Practical experience with enterprise SCM software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder, or similar).
Familiarity with data-driven logistics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Python for data analysis).
Knowledge of the "physical internet" and hardware integrations (RFID, barcode scanners, automated conveyor systems).
Soft Skills:
Systems Thinking: Ability to view a supply chain as a complex, interconnected system and identify how technology can improve specific nodes within that system.
Translational Ability: Skill in explaining technical logistics concepts (e.g., algorithmic routing, EDI integration) to business students and operational constraints to engineering students.
Problem-Solving: A pragmatic approach to managing operations in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and globalized environment.
Adaptability: A keen interest in staying ahead of the rapidly changing logistics tech landscape (e.g., the move toward autonomous supply chains).
Benefits
Competitive Compensation: Attractive academic salary package with potential for research grants and industry consulting.
Professional Development: Support for industry certifications (e.g., CSCP, CLTD), attendance at premier supply chain conferences, and access to the latest logistics software suites.
Collaborative Environment: Access to an interdisciplinary faculty that values innovation in operations, engineering, and digital management.
Comprehensive Benefits: Full insurance coverage, academic leave, and retirement benefits in accordance with local labor laws.
Career Growth: Defined pathways toward Tenured Associate Professor, Program Director, or Supply Chain Innovation Lead.
