Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and globally-minded Training Support Specialist in Foreign Trade to join our team. As global supply chains become more interconnected and regulatory environments grow increasingly complex, your role is to support the training of the next generation of international trade professionals. You will facilitate the delivery of curricula that blend core trade theory, export-import operations, and international logistics, ensuring learners are prepared to navigate the mechanics of global commerce.
Job Responsibilities
Program Coordination: Manage the logistical and administrative execution of Foreign Trade training modules, ensuring that regulatory databases, instructional materials, and digital platforms are optimized for learner engagement.
Instructional Support: Assist Lead Instructors in facilitating classroom discussions on critical topics such as international trade agreements, Incoterms® 2020, customs clearance, and foreign exchange risk.
Applied Workshop Facilitation: Manage practical workshops where students simulate international trade transactions, prepare shipping documentation (e.g., Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice), and analyze trade data.
Curriculum Maintenance: Assist in updating training materials to reflect current trends, such as digital trade documentation, shifts in regional trade blocs, and sustainable supply chain practices.
Assessment & Feedback Management: Coordinate the grading of trade case studies, market entry strategies, and compliance projects. Maintain accurate records of learner progress and provide supplementary guidance on technical trade concepts.
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a bridge between learners, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and industry experts. Organize guest lectures, seminars, and networking events to connect academic theory with real-world trade practices.
Quality Assurance: Monitor training effectiveness through feedback loops and performance metrics, providing actionable recommendations to the program management team to enhance the learner experience.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Foreign Trade, Economics, Logistics, or a related field (a Master’s degree or professional certification like CITP is highly preferred).
Experience: 1–3 years of professional experience in export-import operations, international logistics, customs management, or an educational support role.
Technical Skills:
Solid understanding of international trade terms (Incoterms®), trade compliance, and documentation processes.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Familiarity with regional and international trade agreements (e.g., CPTPP, EVFTA).
Soft Skills:
Analytical Precision: Ability to manage high-volume, detail-heavy documentation with accuracy.
Cross-Cultural Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex trade information for diverse learner groups and global partners.
Organizational Excellence: Proven ability to manage multiple logistical deadlines in a highly structured trade-focused environment.
Adaptability: Capacity to stay informed on rapidly changing geopolitical and economic shifts impacting global trade.
