We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to join our IT infrastructure team. In this critical role, you will design, implement, maintain, optimize, and secure the organization’s databases to ensure high availability, performance, and data integrity. If you have strong expertise in database management, performance tuning, and disaster recovery, this is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting business-critical applications and data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities

Database Design & Implementation: Design, create, and maintain relational and/or NoSQL databases; optimize schema, indexes, and queries for performance and scalability.
Performance Tuning & Monitoring: Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and perform tuning on queries, indexes, and server resources using tools like SQL Profiler, EXPLAIN, or monitoring solutions.
Backup, Recovery & High Availability: Implement and manage backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, replication, clustering, and failover mechanisms to ensure data availability and business continuity.
Security & Compliance: Manage user access, permissions, encryption, and auditing; ensure compliance with data protection regulations and security best practices.
Database Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks including patching, upgrades, migrations, archiving, and data purging.
Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex database issues; provide technical support to development teams, applications, and end-users.
Automation & Optimization: Develop scripts (SQL, PowerShell, Python) for automation of routine tasks and integrate databases with applications and cloud platforms.
Reporting & Documentation: Create and maintain database documentation, capacity planning reports, and performance dashboards.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field.
Experience: 3–7+ years of hands-on experience as Database Administrator, Database Engineer, or similar role in enterprise environments.
Technical Skills:
Strong expertise in one or more database systems: Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
Advanced SQL query writing, stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization.
Experience with cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL) and migration projects.
Knowledge of high availability solutions (Always On, Replication, Clustering) and backup tools.
Familiarity with scripting languages (T-SQL, PowerShell, Python) and ETL processes.
Understanding of data security, GDPR/Vietnam data protection standards, and performance monitoring tools.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate with developers, project teams, and stakeholders.
