We are seeking an experienced, leadership-driven Database Administrator/Architect to lead our data management operations and maintain the highest standards of database performance, scalability, and security. In this senior role, you will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise-level database environments, including relational, NoSQL, and cloud-native data platforms. Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, motivate, and evaluate the entire database team, including DBAs, data platform engineers, and support specialists.

Standards & Quality Control: Establish and enforce high database design standards, schema governance, security policies, and backup/recovery procedures; conduct regular performance and integrity audits.

Operations Planning: Develop and manage database roadmaps, platform migration strategies, and capacity planning to ensure optimal performance, low latency, and high availability.

Resource & Budget Management: Control database infrastructure costs (On-prem and Cloud), software licensing for database engines/tools, and hardware requirements; manage vendor relationships.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, and DevOps teams to ensure database architecture aligns with application performance needs and supports business-critical workloads.

Training & Development: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs on database optimization, query tuning, security best practices, and new data technologies; mentor team members.

Compliance & Reliability: Ensure full adherence to data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA), security auditing standards, and internal corporate data governance guidelines.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Prepare reports on database health, throughput, and incident metrics; implement modern database management methodologies (DBOps) and automation for routine tasks.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Database Management, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., OCP, MCSE: Data Platform, AWS/Azure Database specialty) are highly desirable.

Experience: 5–10+ years in database administration or architecture, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership, senior, or managerial capacity. Experience in managing high-volume, mission-critical production environments is highly desirable.

Technical & Management Skills:

Strong knowledge of relational (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) database technologies.

Expertise in data modeling, query optimization, indexing strategies, high availability, and disaster recovery.

Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage complex database migrations, and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).
