We are seeking a passionate, reliable, and skilled Restaurant Cook to join our culinary team. Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation: Prepare menu items with precision, following standardized recipes and preparation methods to ensure consistency and quality.
Station Management: Manage your assigned station (e.g., grill, sauté, prep) efficiently, ensuring all necessary ingredients are prepped and stocked prior to and during service.
Safety & Sanitation: Adhere strictly to food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP), health department guidelines, and internal kitchen cleanliness standards.
Order Execution: Execute orders promptly and accurately, coordinating with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of food to guests.
Inventory Oversight: Monitor ingredient levels, rotate stock using First-In-First-Out (FIFO) methods, and notify management of inventory shortages or equipment issues.
Kitchen Maintenance: Assist with deep cleaning schedules, equipment maintenance, and ensuring the kitchen remains orderly and hazard-free.
Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; culinary school certification is a plus.
Experience: 1–3+ years of professional kitchen experience is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in various cooking techniques (e.g., grilling, sautéing, frying, chopping).
Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment safety and operation.
Solid understanding of food hygiene, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention.
Personal Attributes:
Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and consistency.
Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
Physical stamina, including the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 40+ lbs).
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required by restaurant operations.
