We are seeking a knowledgeable, approachable, and highly organized Human Resources Specialist to join our HR team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and ensuring company-wide compliance with labor laws. Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions, posting vacancies, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
Onboarding & Offboarding: Facilitate new hire orientation, ensure all onboarding paperwork is completed, and conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and improve retention.
Benefits Administration: Assist employees with inquiries regarding benefits enrollment, leaves of absence, and payroll-related issues; act as a liaison between employees and benefit providers.
Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns; assist in resolving workplace conflicts, coaching managers on performance management, and promoting positive employee engagement.
Compliance & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, confidential employee records in the HRIS; ensure all practices remain compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws.
HR Policies & Procedures: Support the development and implementation of company policies and employee handbooks; ensure consistent application across the organization.
Reporting & Analytics: Assist in preparing HR metrics and reports (e.g., turnover rates, time-to-hire, headcount) to support management decision-making.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; PHR or SHRM-CP certification is highly preferred.
Experience: 2–4+ years of professional experience in an HR generalist or specialist role.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of employment law (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC).
Experience in recruitment platforms and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
Personal Attributes:
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.
High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle highly confidential information.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on process improvement.
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
