Job Overview
We are seeking a technically-minded and process-oriented Training Support Specialist in Smart Manufacturing to join our team. As the manufacturing landscape undergoes a digital transformation—integrating IoT, AI, robotics, and data analytics—your role is to provide essential support to our training programs. You will bridge the gap between advanced engineering theory and factory-floor reality, ensuring learners gain the proficiency needed to manage connected, automated, and data-driven production environments.

Job Responsibilities
Program Logistics & Coordination: Oversee the administration of specialized training modules, including scheduling workshops, managing lab equipment, and preparing instructional materials for both classroom and shop-floor environments.

Technical Instructional Support: Assist Lead Instructors in demonstrating smart manufacturing technologies, including Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), digital twins, automated control systems, and predictive maintenance tools.

Lab & Simulation Management: Maintain and facilitate learning in our smart manufacturing lab. Ensure that hardware (robotics arms, PLC systems) and software (MES, ERP, simulation platforms) are ready for student use and troubleshoot technical issues during sessions.

Curriculum Updates: Assist in refining training content to keep pace with rapid technological shifts, such as advancements in additive manufacturing (3D printing), edge computing, and cybersecurity for industrial control systems.

Assessment & Evaluation: Coordinate the assessment of hands-on skills through practical simulation projects, track student mastery of technical competencies, and provide data-driven feedback.

Industry Collaboration: Serve as the point of contact for industrial partners hosting internships or site visits. Facilitate workshops that align training outcomes with the specific digital transformation needs of manufacturing plants.

Safety & Compliance Oversight: Ensure that all training activities in the lab or on-site adhere to strict industrial safety standards and cybersecurity protocols.

Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Manufacturing Systems, or a related field.

Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, industrial automation support, or technical training role.

Technical Skills:

Working knowledge of Industry 4.0 pillars (IoT, Big Data, Cloud Computing).

Familiarity with PLC programming, SCADA systems, or manufacturing execution systems (MES).

Experience with CAD/CAM software or simulation tools for industrial processes.

Soft Skills:

Technical Communication: Ability to translate complex engineering concepts into understandable instructions for diverse learners.

Troubleshooting Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying and solving technical problems in a fast-paced lab or classroom environment.
