Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and service-oriented Training Support Specialist in Tourism and Travel Service Management to join our team. As the global travel industry experiences a resurgence driven by sustainable tourism, digital booking platforms, and experiential travel, your role is to support the training of the next generation of tourism professionals. You will facilitate the delivery of curricula that blend operational management, customer experience design, and digital travel marketing, ensuring learners are prepared to thrive in a dynamic, high-touch industry.
Job Responsibilities
Program Coordination: Manage the logistical execution of tourism and travel training programs, including scheduling field trips, coordinating guest speakers, and preparing instructional materials for both classroom and simulated travel agency environments.
Instructional Support: Assist Lead Instructors in facilitating workshops on Travel Agency Operations, Destination Management, Tour Guiding Standards, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in tourism.
Applied Lab Facilitation: Manage practical lab sessions where learners utilize Global Distribution Systems (GDS), travel itinerary planning software, and social media marketing tools to simulate real-world travel agency workflows.
Curriculum Maintenance: Assist in updating training modules to incorporate emerging trends, such as eco-tourism practices, digital transformation in travel, and crisis management for travelers.
Assessment & Evaluation: Coordinate the review of project-based assignments, such as destination marketing plans or travel itinerary designs. Provide supplemental guidance to ensure high service standards and commercial viability.
Industry & Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a bridge between learners, local tour operators, airlines, and hospitality providers. Facilitate site visits to travel hubs, airports, or heritage sites to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Quality Assurance: Monitor training effectiveness through feedback from students and industry partners, providing data-driven recommendations to the program management team.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management, Travel Services, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in travel agency operations, tour guiding, airline services, or a related educational support role.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre) and travel booking platforms.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools and CRM systems used for travel customer management.
Basic understanding of tourism regulations and destination management software.
