We are seeking a skilled, safety-conscious, and proactive Industrial Machinery Mechanic to join our maintenance and operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex industrial machinery and equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Preventative Maintenance: Execute rigorous preventative maintenance schedules on all production machinery to prevent equipment failure and extend service life.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions; perform complex repairs and component replacements efficiently to minimize production downtime.
Installation & Setup: Assist in the installation, assembly, and alignment of new machinery; ensure all equipment is calibrated and tested to meet performance specifications.
Equipment Overhaul: Perform major overhauls and rebuilds of machinery, ensuring all mechanical systems function according to manufacturer guidelines.
Technical Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and equipment performance metrics in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, machine guarding standards, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Continuous Improvement: Participate in root-cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures; suggest and implement modifications to improve machinery reliability and performance.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; completion of a technical/vocational school program or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance is highly preferred.
Experience: 3–5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing industrial machinery in a manufacturing or similar environment.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; strong understanding of industrial electrical systems is a significant plus.
Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers), hand tools, and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret complex technical manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
Personal Attributes:
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and diagnostic problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail and precision in mechanical work.
Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with production staff and other maintenance team members.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, nights, or emergency call-outs as required by production schedules.
